Lead with clarity, rhythm, and purpose.

Leadership Coaching Programs for professional services firms and financial services networks

About Us

At Pulse Leadership, we help business owners and professionals lead themselves, their teams, and their firms with focus and confidence.

We believe the heart of business isn’t just what you do — it’s how you lead it. Our coaching and development programs are designed for professional-service firms that want to build commercially capable leaders while freeing senior partners’ time.

Grounded in calm confidence and commercial clarity, our approach blends structured group coaching with practical leadership tools — helping firms create a steady rhythm of growth, accountability, and performance.

We bring structure to leadership, so clarity becomes habit and growth becomes sustainable.

Our Story

Pulse Leadership was built on decades of real-world leadership experience — not theory. Its foundations come from years spent leading and advising across diverse industries: as a founder, executive, coach, facilitator, and board chair. That breadth of experience revealed a simple truth: the hardest challenges in business are rarely technical — they’re human.

Working with hundreds of business owners and leadership teams, we saw the same recurring struggles:

  • Finding clarity of direction amid the noise and pressure of daily operations.

  • Engaging people to genuinely connect with a shared vision.

  • Prioritising what truly drives performance rather than reacting to everything that feels urgent.

These challenges were universal. Whether it was a manufacturing firm, a design agency, or a professional practice, the pattern was the same: when leaders lose perspective, they lose momentum — and so does the organisation.

Over time, we developed and refined a practical leadership method that helped leaders pause, regain clarity, and focus on the few things that truly make a difference. It’s an approach that helps leaders lead through uncertainty — by creating space for better thinking, sharper decisions, and purposeful action.

From Business Breakthrough to Pulse Leadership

That approach came to life in the Business Breakthrough Experience (BBX) — a facilitated small-group program for small business leaders, delivered under the NSW Government’s Business Connect initiative.

Over 18 months, more than 300 participants completed the program, with an average satisfaction rating of 4.7 out of 5 and over 80% reporting a significant improvement in clarity and direction.

Their words say it best:

“Light bulb moments. Great concept. Highly recommend.”

— Madeleine Steel

“The BBX workshop is a must-do for any business owner or leader. A great way to take time out from the day-to-day and focus on what’s really important.”

— Liza Taylor

“In a busy world, it gets overwhelming to stop and think about what really matters. Lindsay made the process very easy and clear — and helped me nail down what was standing in my way.”

— Dima Istambouli

“A breakthrough for both me and my business.”

— Peter Wilson

The BBX experience demonstrated something powerful:

when leaders step back to clear their headspace, reconnect with purpose, and choose their next steps intentionally, performance and confidence rise together.

The same challenges that small-business owners faced — distraction, overwhelm, and decision fatigue — are now showing up inside mid-tier and professional service firms.

Senior partners are overloaded, and emerging leaders are expected to think like business owners without ever being taught how.

This is where Pulse Leadership began — evolving the proven BBX framework into a structured, coaching-based leadership system designed for firms that want to strengthen their leadership pipeline and performance.

Leadership Challenges We See Today

Every organisation grows until its leadership capacity is tested.

In many firms, growth has outpaced leadership capability — and the signs are familiar:

1. Too Much Noise, Not Enough Perspective

Leaders are constantly responding to demands.

Without moments for reflection, they lose sight of the big picture and find themselves reacting instead of leading.

2. Technically Strong, Commercially Stretched

Emerging partners and managers know their craft, but haven’t yet learned how to balance client work, profitability, and people leadership.

3. Overextended Partners, Underdeveloped Successors

Senior leaders spend too much time managing and mentoring because there’s no structured way to build others’ capability.

The result: exhaustion at the top and frustration below.

4. Cultural Drift and Leadership Fatigue

As firms expand, maintaining alignment and cohesion gets harder.

Leaders work harder, not smarter, and the sense of shared direction begins to fade.

5. The Modern Challenge — Leading Through Complexity

Rapid change, constant noise, and competing priorities make clear thinking a rare skill.

What separates effective leaders today isn’t energy or intellect — it’s perspective, calm, and focus.

The same principles that helped entrepreneurs find clarity now help firms sustain leadership through complexity.

Our Approach

Structured leadership development that builds clarity, focus, and confidence.

Pulse Leadership is built on one simple insight: leadership doesn’t improve by chance — it improves through structure.

Our programs are designed as 90-day development cycles, giving leaders a predictable pattern for reflection, learning, and measurable progress.

Each cycle combines in-person facilitation, online group coaching, and guided reflection — creating progress that’s steady, sustainable, and real.

The Pulse 90-Day Leadership Cycle

1. Insights Workshop

A focused, facilitated session that helps participants step back, clarify priorities, and identify the few leadership shifts that will make the biggest impact.

2. Guided Coaching Sessions

Monthly individual coaching sessions where participants share progress, apply new tools, and learn from one another’s experience.

These sessions keep accountability alive and learning practical.

3. Reflection and Reset

At the end of each cycle, leaders review outcomes, refine their focus, and set their next leadership direction.

This ensures growth isn’t a one-off event but an ongoing process.

When leaders make time to think clearly, they lead more effectively — and with greater confidence.

Designed for Real-World Leadership

Our approach blends coaching depth with strategic clarity.

It equips leaders to:

  • Think clearly under pressure.

  • Strengthen commercial awareness and decision-making.

  • Build alignment and accountability in their teams.

  • Reconnect their leadership with purpose and performance.

Delivered in small groups (typically 8–12 participants), our programs balance personal insight with collective learning — building leaders who can grow themselves and the firm at the same time.

Our Programs

Structured leadership development for real-world impact.

Pulse Leadership programs take the proven 90-day rhythm and tailor it to different stages of leadership responsibility within a firm.

Each stream builds capability through focus, rhythm, and accountability — helping participants lead themselves, their teams, and their businesses with greater clarity and confidence.

All programs combine facilitated workshops, guided group coaching, and practical reflection tools, creating steady progress that fits the pace of professional life.

Emerging Leaders Program

Developing the next generation of confident, commercially capable leaders.

Designed for senior associates, managers, and newly appointed partners, this program helps technically strong professionals build the mindset and habits of business leadership.

Participants learn to:

  • Lead themselves and others with structure and focus.

  • Think commercially — managing time, clients, and profitability.

  • Communicate with influence and authenticity.

  • Build team rhythm and accountability.

The result is a cohort of leaders who act like business owners within the firm — freeing senior capacity and strengthening the organisation’s long-term leadership pipeline.

Partner & Senior Leadership Groups

Creating alignment, rhythm, and renewal at the top.

For established partners and senior executives, leadership isn’t about learning new theories — it’s about regaining clarity, balance, and strategic perspective.

This program helps senior leaders:

  • Reconnect with shared vision and firm priorities.

  • Create time leverage through smarter delegation and empowerment.

  • Balance commercial discipline with cultural leadership.

  • Build a sustainable rhythm for leadership conversations and decision-making.

Partners emerge from the cycle with renewed focus, shared language, and greater cohesion — able to lead the firm with unity and calm confidence.

Custom Programs

Leadership systems that fit your culture.

Every firm has its own rhythm.

Our custom programs adapt the Pulse methodology to your structure, culture, and strategic goals — integrating seamlessly with existing initiatives or partner retreats.

We work with you to:

  • Identify leadership priorities and capability gaps.

  • Design firm-specific 90-day cycles for cohorts or practice groups.

  • Facilitate shared reflection sessions to track outcomes and momentum.

Custom programs create a sustainable leadership rhythm across the business — turning development into an integrated part of how the firm leads, performs, and grows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to the most common questions we get from people considering engaging with Pulse Leadership.

Our programs are designed for professional-services and growth-focused organisations that want to strengthen leadership capability at all levels — from senior associates and new partners to established leadership teams.Typical participants are professionals who are technically excellent but ready to grow their commercial, strategic, and people leadership skills.

We primarily support mid-tier and emerging firms with 15–200 staff and 3–25 partners or senior leaders. These firms are large enough to need structured leadership development but small enough that impact can be seen quickly across the whole organisation.

Each Pulse Leadership cycle runs for 90 days, combining:

  • A 2-hour in-person or virtual Insights Workshop,

  • Two 1-hour guided group coaching sessions, and

  • A reflection and reset process to review outcomes and plan next steps. Many firms continue across multiple cycles, building sustained leadership capability over time.

Most leadership programs are one-off events. Pulse Leadership is a structured system that embeds leadership thinking into everyday practice. Our programs combine coaching depth, strategic clarity, and practical tools — giving leaders time to think clearly, act decisively, and maintain momentum.

Absolutely. We tailor each program to your firm’s structure, culture, and priorities — whether that’s developing emerging leaders, strengthening partner alignment, or improving cross-team collaboration.Custom cycles can align with your planning calendar, retreats, or performance goals.

Firms typically see:

  • Improved commercial decision-making and profitability.

  • Reduced dependency on senior partners through stronger delegation.

  • Greater alignment across teams and leadership groups.

  • Higher engagement and retention among future leaders.

  • A consistent system for reflection, focus, and accountability.

At the start of each cycle, participants set clear objectives linked to firm strategy. We measure progress through self-reflection, peer feedback, and observable business outcomes such as project efficiency, client satisfaction, or improved team dynamics.Leadership growth becomes visible — and measurable — over time.

Ideal cohort size is 10-12 participants. This allows for meaningful discussion, peer learning, and individual attention while maintaining group energy and accountability.

Programs can be delivered onsite, online, or hybrid depending on your location and needs. Our in-person workshops build connection and focus, while online sessions sustain momentum efficiently between meetings.

We start with a conversation — understanding your firm’s current leadership structure, goals, and challenges. From there, we’ll recommend the right program structure and outline how to launch your first 90-day cycle.

Leadership development doesn’t need to be complicated — it just needs structure, focus, and the right conversation to begin.
